Next, we journey to Punakha, a picturesque valley town nestled amidst verdant hills. Spend a night here and immerse yourself in the serenity of the Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful and historically significant fortresses in Bhutan. Marvel at its intricate architecture and serene surroundings as you learn about its rich history and cultural significance.
No trip to Bhutan would be complete without a visit to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Paro. This sacred site, perched on a cliffside high above the Paro Valley, is a testament to Bhutan’s rich spiritual heritage. Embark on a hike to reach this revered monastery, passing through lush forests and enjoying breathtaking views along the way.
In Paro, spend two nights exploring the charming town and its surrounding attractions. Visit the National Museum of Bhutan to gain insight into the country’s history, art, and culture. Wander through the streets lined with traditional Bhutanese architecture, adorned with colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind.

The flight into Paro valley is one of the most exciting as you will be able to see the magnificent Himalayan ranges as you fly into the belly of the Himalayas. On Arrival at Paro Airport – You will be welcomed by our office Representatives and escorted to Thimphu. In the evening you can explore Thimphu city.

After Breakfast – You will visit Buddha Point to witness the biggest seated Buddha statue in the world. After that you will visit the Memorial Chorten & Royal Textile Museum. In the Afternoon – You will visit Changangkha Monastery and then go towards the Takin Reserve. After that you will visit the 17th century Tashichho Dzong (Fortress) which houses the throne room of the king and also the central monastic body as their summer residence.

On the way to Punakha you will stop at Dochula Pass which is the highest point between Thimphu and Punakha where you can get a spectacular view of the himalayan ranges. Reaching Lobesa, you will do a short hike to reach the 15th century Chimi Lhakhang Monastery that is popularly known as the temple of fertility. In the late afternoon you will visit the beautiful Punakha fortress, which used to serve as the old capital of Bhutan. Currently it serves as the winter residence of the Central Monastic body.

After breakfast you will drive back to Paro. On the way you will stop at Lamperi to visit the Royal Botanical Park – The park contains a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna and features a huge species of plants and animals including some endangered species. Upon Arrival at Paro you will visit – Ta Dzong (Watch tower) which presently serves as the National Museum. You will also visit the Rinpung Dzong , which was built in the 17th century. Rinpung Dzong is known as the “Fortress of a Heap of Jewels”. In the evening you can have a walk in and around the Town.

After Breakfast you will be hiking to the famous Taktsang Monastery – most commonly known as the Tiger’s Nest. The total hike will take about 6-8 hours. Later in the evening you will visit the 7th century Kichu Monastery; One of the 108 monasteries built by The Tibetan King Songtsen Goenpo to subdue an evil spirit.
