Day to Day Itinerary

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by BLZ Team Members. After completing arrival formalities, transfer to your hotel in Paro Valley. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings after your flight.

Accommodation: Overnight in Paro

After breakfast, explore the cultural highlights of Paro Valley. Visit Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), followed by Ta Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan). Continue to Dungtse Lhakhang, a unique chorten-shaped temple, and conclude the day with a visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.

Accommodation: Overnight in Paro

After breakfast, drive to Thimphu. En route, visit Tamchog Lhakhang, a beautiful iron-chain bridge temple built by the great master Thangtong Gyalpo. Upon arrival in Thimphu, visit the Buddha Dordenma Statue, Memorial Chorten, and the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s national animal.

After breakfast, drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass, offering panoramic Himalayan views on a clear day. Descend into the Punakha Valley and visit Chimi Lhakhang, the famous fertility temple. Continue to Punakha Dzong, majestically located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.

After breakfast, hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, passing through rice fields and villages while enjoying stunning valley views. After the hike, drive back to Thimphu, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way.

After breakfast, attend the vibrant Thimphu Tshechu Festival at Tashichho Dzong. Witness colorful mask dances, traditional music, and sacred rituals performed by monks and lay performers. Later, explore the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body.

After breakfast, continue witnessing the Thimphu Tshechu Festival, enjoying different masked dances and cultural performances. In the afternoon, drive back to Paro and relax in the peaceful Paro Valley.

Early in the morning, begin the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most iconic site perched dramatically on a cliff face. Enjoy breathtaking views along the trail and visit the sacred monastery. After descending, return to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
